Fantasy Football Impact Of The Buffalo Bills In 2012
Here at BetDSI Sportsbook we are looking at the talent each NFL team brings to Fantasy Football this season. Now we will check out the Fantasy Football impact of the Buffalo Bills in 2012.
It looks as if the Bills could make a bit of noise in the AFC East after showing signs of life in 2011 and a big pick up in the off-season Mario Williams showing they are willing to spend money to get better.
Ryan Fitzpatrick is poised to have a big year after he was given a vote of confidence by the ownership with a big contract. Fitzpatrick threw 569 times for 353 completions and 24 touchdowns making him a viable selection in round three and later for your Fantasy Football quarterback selection.
Steve Johnson had a breakout season with 76 receptions a 13.2 yards per catch average and 7 touchdowns. He will undergo surgery in the off-season so it will remain to be seen if that has an effect on his year.
There are not many other viable receiving options after Johnson, with David Nelson second on the catch list with 61 receptions for 658 yards and 5 scores. After Nelson it is runningbacks Fred Jackson and C.J. Spiller with 39 receptions each.
Fred Jackson led the two back offense with 170 carries for 934 yards earning a nice 5.5 average yards per carry finishing with 6 touchdowns. C.J. Spiller was also a weapon with 561 yards on 107 carries for 4 touchdowns but the split time between the two make neither a high caliber back in the early Fantasy Football rounds, more of a great option later in the draft.
So Bills fans your best Fantasy Football options lie in Ryan Fitzpatrick and Steve Johnson. As said Fred Jackson and C.J. Spiller share far too many carries putting them in the later rounds. When the season starts be sure to check out BetDSI’s Fantasy Football head to head betting.
