In Houston in 2023, the NCAA Men’s Final Four launches a college internship program

For the fourth time, Bayou City will serve as the host city for the NCAA Men’s Final Four. With the launch of a two-semester course to go along with the tournament, the early April event will improve Clutch City in a variety of ways, bringing tourists and money into the community while also improving local student participation.

The accredited course, which started on August 31, will contribute toward students’ chosen degree programs and includes once a week guest lectures on logistics, sales, public relations, marketing, and social media participation from local business leaders. The course also contributes to the NCAA’s educational purpose in addition to giving students practical experience.

Similar educational opportunities for event management were provided in past Final Four host cities, but this year’s course includes an internship component where students will work with committees to develop and carry out specific tournament activities alongside the Houston Local Organizing Committee. April 1–3, 2023, are the tournament’s dates.
