Jacksonville Jaguars Regular Season Total Wins Betting 2012
The Jacksonville Jaguars recorded just five victories last season being led by then rookie QB Blaine Gabbert who did not truly impress. Jacksonville hope he makes strides this year and he will have to do so with a fairly tough schedule. BetDSI Sportsbook current live lines display the Jaguars as an over / under 5 ½ wins for the 2012 season.
This offense still goes through Maurice Jones Drew and if they do not end the contract squabble they have with their star this team could be in trouble in a hurry. Gabbert did not show the makings of a star in his first season by any means and without the teams top offensive threat things will not get easier for the second year QB.
Jacksonville’s defense is just about without a pass rusher as Jeremy Mincey is the closest thing they have to a sack threat with 8.5 sacks last season. DT Tyson Alalu who was drafted 10th overall in 2010 hasn’t done anything to warrant such a selection, and 2012′s draft didn’t come without some raised eyebrows.
Give credit to Jaguars for finally getting a receiver in Jacksonville by grabbing WR Justin Blackmon out of Oklahoma State with the fifth pick of the 2012 draft. Selecting DE Andre Branch in the second round was also a good move as they surely need someone who can get to the QB, but a punter in the third round on a team with so many holes was a head scratcher. In the third round you are looking for starters, especially on a weak team such as the Jaguars.

Jacksonville Jaguars Regular Season Total Wins Betting 2012:
The Jacksonville Jaguars will not win a bunch of games this season but much like other teams running with a young QB will base there success on how their young gun grows. Getting MJD in training camp and on the field will have all the difference in the world for Blaine Gabbert’s progression and should there be a contract falling out , it could be a long season for the Jaguars. I’m going under 5 ½ wins for Jacksonville in 2012.
