Kansas City Chiefs Bring Perfect Start To Philadelphia To Take On Eagles

The Kansas City Chiefs may have the biggest turn around of any team in the NFL this year. They have already tied their two game win mark of last season in the first two weeks of football and have looked great in doing it. The Philadelphia Eagles are 1-1 after their week two loss to the Chargers and while the offense has certainly been clicking the defense has left something to be desired.

Kansas City started the season 2-0 after beating the Dallas Cowboys 17-16 in week two. It was a hotly contested match-up where the Chiefs defense ultimately prevailed with QB Alex Smith doing enough to edge out the victory. Smith ended up going 21 for 36 for 223 yards and two touchdowns on the day. He also led the team in rushing with 8 carries for 57 yards. Jamaal Charles didn’t tear it up on the ground with 16 carries for just 55 yards but combined with his 8 catches for 48 yards and a score he had a very good game.

The Chiefs defense were dominant in their match-up against the Cowboys giving up just 37 yards on the ground and allowing Dallas to convert on third down just 3 out of 11 attempts. Dontari Poe wrecked havoc on the line of scrimmage with four tackles and two sacks while Akeem Jordan had 5 total tackles and a forced fumble.

The Philadelphia Eagles are 1-1 after their heartbreaking 33-30 loss to the Philadelphia Eagles. QB Michael Vick has played excellent so far this season with a 119 QB rating. He has thrown for 631 yards and four touchdowns to no interceptions in the first two games.

Against the Chargers Vick threw for a career high 428 yards and two touchdowns. LeSean McCoy had another great game in his new Chip Kelly offense running for 53 yards on 11 carries and making 5 catches for 114 yards including a 70 yard reception.

However despite their offense running at a super charged level the Eagles defense is among the worst in the league. They allowed Chargers QB to throw for three touchdowns to the same receiver Eddie Royal while only having to punt once all game.

The Kansas City Chiefs are my favorite team in the world so this will be a partial prediction to say the least. However I have rarely written about the Chiefs due to them having a terrible team in recent years and not wanting to make a prediction involving them getting destroyed. This year is different and if any team out of who the Eagles have played so far are going to get to the Eagles new Chip Kelly offense and make Michael Vick create mistakes it is going to be the mean defense of the Kansas City Chiefs. I’m taking the Chiefs money line for the added value win over the Philadelphia Eagles.
