Louisiana Tech Looks To Keep Winning-Streak Alive When Hosting Idaho
Tonight the Louisiana Tech Bulldogs (14-3, 5-0 WAC) looks to keep their winning-streak alive and remain unbeaten in the WAC when hosting the Idaho Vandals (6-9, 2-3 WAC). Being much more successful this season the Bulldogs will be heavy home favorites over the visiting Vandals at BetDSI Sportsbook.
The Louisiana Tech Bulldogs have won six straight and haven’t lost a game since the 12th of December. Louisiana Tech currently ranks 65th in the nation with scoring with 73.3 ppg, 55th in rebounding with 38.3 rpg, 151st in passing with 13.2 apg, and 253rd in shooting with a .413 field goal percentage.
Leading the Bulldogs in scoring is Sophomore Guard Raheem Appleby with 14.9 ppg, 3.1 rpg, and 1.5 apg. Second in scoring to Appleby is Junior Guard Cordarius Johnson who is putting up 11.1 ppg and 3 rebounds per game. Louisiana Tech grabbed a great recruit in Freshman Guard Alex Hamilton who is averaging 7 ppg, 1.6 rpg, and 2 assists per game in 16 minutes per contest.
The Idaho Vandals have dropped three straight and need a win tonight against the Bulldogs to push to .500 win percentage in conference play. Idaho currently ranks 174th in the country in scoring with 68.0 ppg, 163rd in rebounding with 35.5 rpg, 86th in passing with 14.4 apg, and 30th in field goal percentage at .473 percent shooting from the field.
Senior Center Kyle Barone is the scoring leader for the Vandals with 15.5 ppg, 8.5 rpg, and 1.5 apg. Behind the Senior Center in scoring is Junior Forward Stephen Madison who is averaging 14.9 ppg, 4.7 rpg, and 2.3 apg. The Idaho Vandals failed to recruit any major talent this off-season.
Louisiana Tech vs Idaho Betting Predictions
Even with the Idaho Vandals getting a good amount of points in this contest it is really hard to pick them with all their recent struggles especially on the road. Louisiana Tech is just too good of a scoring and rebounding team for the Idaho Vandals to keep up with. The Bulldogs will own this contest against the boards and get a lot of second and third chance scoring attempts. Louisiana Tech is a really good basketball team and I look for them to handily win this match at home against the Vandals.
