Miami Dolphins Regular Season Total Wins Betting 2012

The Miami Dolphins may have brighter times ahead as they have selected their future franchise QB in Ryan Tannehill. Winning only six games last season BetDSI Sportsbook current live lines display the Dolphins as an over / under of 7 wins for 2012.

Either QB Matt Moore or David Garrard is expected to start this season but Ryan Tannehill may take over sooner than later if Moore or Garrard should fail to win some games. Which will be much tougher now that the Dolphins are without WR Brandon Marshall who they gave up for mere peanuts. Chad Johnson will not be a huge factor and RB Reggie Bush appears to be the biggest offensive weapon Miami has.

Miami’s defense on paper appears to be a little more solid than their offense , led by linebacker Karlos Dansby and DE sack specialist Cameron Wake. Even still there are holes all over with their secondary below average and outside of Dansby they do not have many quality linebackers.

Miami’s 2012 draft did little to inject immediate help to a below average team as Tannehill is considered a project. Tackle Jonathan Martin out of Stanford is said to be overwhelmed at times and needs to work on his strength to pan out in the NFL. The biggest rookie contributor for Miami may come from DE Olivier Vernon who could be rotated in on the line at times.

Miami Dolphins Regular Season Total Wins Betting 2012:

There appears little hope for the Miami Dolphins to get more than 7 wins this season. With an offense that is below average in every sense of the word and a defense that is not much better, the Dolphins will be very happy with 6 or 7 wins. Tannehill may get thrown to the wolves unless Matt Moore who was improving last year puts up on big numbers in 2012.
