MLB Betting Predictions: Arizona Diamondbacks vs Colorado Rockies

Tonight Arizona Diamondbacks pitcher Patrick Corbin (6-0) look to remain perfect this season against pitcher Jon Garland and the Colorado Rockies. The Rockies look to ride the momentum of yesterday’s 5-0 shutout against the San Francisco Giants into today’s matchup against the Diamondbacks. With Colorado juts one game behind Arizona in the NL West this could end up being an important series.

The Arizona Diamondbacks are atop the NL West at 25-19 going 6-4 their last ten games. Patrick Corbin has been exceptional this season with a perfect 6-0 record and sporting a really low 1.52 ERA. He grabbed a win in his latest outing against the Atlanta Braves, pitching seven scoreless innings allowing just three hits and striking out five.

Of course Corbin will need help from his team in the run department which they have had trouble with yesterday against the Marlins. Against Miami the Diamondbacks only managed one run on six hits and were struck out 11 times.

Didi Gregorius was not one who had trouble moving the bat with three hits, and he is now batting .354 with 9 hits the last seven games. First Baseman Paul Goldschmidt has been cold blooded at the plate with a .333 average on the season and had a two home run performance three days ago against the Marlins.

The Colorado Rockies are nipping at the heels of the Diamondbacks in the NL West standings with a 24-19 record and just one game behind Arizona. Jon Garland is 3-4 on the season and has had his troubles this year with a 4.89 ERA. In his last outing he allowed three runs on seven hits and a walk with four strikeouts in five innings resulting in a loss to the Cubs.

Because the Colorado Rockies are 14-8 at home the Arizona Diamondbacks Patrick Corbin is a great price in this game. I like the the Diamondbacks moneyline and also am leaning towards the under 9 ½ runs on the contest.
