We split out with our last two plays – winning with Toronto -112 over Seattle but giving that back with Atlanta +120 losing at Colorado to settle our MLB record at 2-2 and even on the money. I’ll have a season-long, running bankroll posted here but we still stand at ‘$0’ since starting up after the break. Saturday there is another play that I really like as an American League Central showdown continues with the Chicago White Sox at Progressive Field versus the Cleveland Indians at 4:05 Pacific. BetDSI Sportsbook has opened the game a ‘pick’ meaning we risk $110 to win 100 on either side. As always, these are the overnight numbers at BetDSI and they revert to a graduated dime line every day at 7:30 AM Pacific the day of the games.
I really like a wager on the White Sox, even though they are on the road here, as they send hard-tossing Edwin Jackson to the hill. Generally I like high strike-out pitchers like Jackson, of course control is always a priority, but flamethrowers have that heat to fall back on to get out of trouble. Jackson has fared very well facing Cleveland with an 8-1 mark against the Indians and a squeaky clean 2.70 Earned Run Average. Even more impressive is Jackson’s 4-0 record and 1.74 ERA at Progressive Field.
As a team the White Sox hit lefties well and we haven’t seen anything from Indians starter David Huff to keep us off a bet on Chicago today. The Sox are a .500 team on the road and although the Indians appear to be impressive as hosts, with a 27-18 mark at Progressive Field, let’s not forget their torrid start to the season. Cleveland started the 2011 baseball season with a 14-game home winning streak; the translation here is that since that great start they have only managed to go 13-18 at home.
A wager on the Chicago White Sox is the way to go here as we have a pitcher who has simply dominated the opposition, been even more impressive at the location, on a typically strong team at a pick ‘em price according to BetDSI Sportsbook. Go Sox!
Chicago White Sox -110 is a bet.
