Monday Night Football Betting Predictions: Chicago Bears vs Dallas Cowboys
Huge Monday Night Football matchup with a playoff feel as the Chicago Bears travel to take on the Dallas Cowboys. BetDSI Sportsbook current live lines display the Cowboys as -165 favorites giving up -3 points to the Bears.
Last week the Dallas Cowboys won in ugly fashion 16-10 at home against the Buccaneers. Tony Romo had seen better days as he threw 25 completions on 39 attempts for 283 yards, no scores, and an interception. The running game being led by DeMarco Murray was nothing special either with 18 carries 38 yards , however he did have a 11 yard touchdown run. Only player on the Boys offense to have a big day was receiver Miles Austin who had 5 catches for 107 yards.
Dallas can thank their defense and especially star linebacker DeMarcus Ware for giving them the chance at a win, Ware was harassing Bucs QB Josh Freeman all game with two sacks and two forced fumbles. Sean Lee had a big performance with six tackles and an interception.
The Chicago Bears also have their defense to thank for an ugly 23-6 victory over the St. Louis Rams. Jay Cutler had an awful day throwing just 17 completions on 31 attempts for 183 yards and an interception. RB Matt Forte was out due to injury prompting the Bears to pick up free agent Kahlil Bell to split carries with Michael Bush. Bush had 18 carries for 55 yards and a score while Bell couldn’t get much going with 10 carries for only 20 yards with 18 of them from one carry.
Clearly it was all the Bears defense that won them their matchup against the Rams with six sacks and two interceptions total on the game. Israel Idonije was all over Sam Bradford with 2.5 sacks, and defensive backs Major Wright and Tim Jennings both came away with interceptions.
NFL Betting Prediction:
The Chicago Bears have not played like the team everyone predicted them to be this year. With the addition of WR Brandon Marshall and RB Michael Bush they were expected to become a much better offense and that has just not happened for Chicago so far this season.
The Dallas Cowboys have been less than stellar as well making this one tough game to predict as either one of these teams could come out the gate and either tear it up or suck it up. Regardless I like Dallas at home against a struggling Bears offense, Matt Forte is expected to play but his leg injury may hamper his production.
Take the Cowboys at -3 or at -165 at home against the struggling Chicago Bears.
