Monday Night Football Betting Predictions: Houston Texans vs New York Jets
One of the only two unbeaten teams remaining in the league are in the MNF spot light as the Houston Texans travel to take on the struggling and banged up New York Jets. BetDSI Sportsbook current live lines display the Texans as huge -400 favorites giving up -8 ½ points to the Jets.
These two teams are going in total opposite directions as the 49ers put a 34-0 beat down on the Jets while the Houston Texans put a 38-14 whooping on the Titans. Against the Titans, Houston QB Matt Schaub was near perfect going 20/28 for 202 yards and two touchdowns. As usual the running game was moving as well with Arian Foster having 24 carries for 86 yards and a score.
Houston’s defense was unrelenting against Tennessee where they returned two interceptions for touchdowns. LB Brian Cushing led the team with 11 total tackles while DB’s Kareem Jackson and Danieal Manning both made huge plays bringing back an INT a piece to the house for a pick six each.
Last week in their devastating shut out loss to the 49ers the Jets lost their best offensive weapon WR Santonio Holmes due to injury. QB Mark Sanchez played down right awful throwing just 13 completions on 29 attempts for a pitiful 103 yards and an interception. RB Shonn Greene is continuing his lousy campaign with 11 carries for 34 yards.
NY couldn’t do much of anything on defense allowing three total rushing touchdowns, and their special teams unit wasn’t much better allowing a blocked punt with just one rusher. By games end only a few die hard Jets fans were left in the stand to let out a Tebow chant.
At this point in time it maybe the best choice the New York Jets can make as Sanchez has been downright awful and with a plethora of injuries at the wide receiver position it only makes sense to put in Tebow who can pound the football running, control the clock, and hopefully make something happen for this Jets team that looks down and out.
With the Jets absolutely unable to stop the run look for Houston Texans running back Arian Foster to have a field day. This one shouldn’t even be close take Houston via moneyline or against the large spread against New York.
