NBA Betting Predictions: Detroit Pistons vs Cleveland Cavaliers
The Detroit Pistons go for their fourth consecutive victory and first three game road winning streak in more than three years tonight when the they hit the road to take on the Cleveland Cavaliers. BetDSI Sportsbook current live lines display the Cavaliers as small -1 ½ point favorites over the Pistons.
The Cleveland Cavaliers pulled off a razor thin 93-92 victory at home against the Sacramento Kings. In a game where there were bricks a plenty there was a ridiculous 109 total rebounds on the game. Cleveland shot a terrible 36% from the floor and hit only 7 out of 22 three point attempts.
Cleveland Guard Kyrie Irving tied Kings Isaiah Thomas for the lead in points with 23. Antawn Jamison put up 21 points to go with his 8 rebounds and 3 assists. Tristan Thompson from the bench was the only Cleveland player to shoot with any kind of efficiency at all hitting 6 out of 10 of his shots but only hit half his free throws going 3-6 from the line. Talk about a rough game Forward Omi Casspi hit only 3 of his 12 shots from the floor and whiffed on all five of his three point attempts.
Prior to the Detroit Pistons new found winning streak they had lost seven straight while giving up an average of 102 points. However in the last nine games it has allowed 91.7 and is a major reason they have put up a few W’s in a row. Detroit’s latest victory was Sunday in a huge 96-81 win at home against the Boston Celtics. Despite shooting an awful 37.8% from the floor and 63% from the foul line the Pistons were able to get a victory against Boston. Mostly in part because the Celtics turned the ball over a staggering 24 times and sent Detroit to the foul line an outlandish 46 times.
Despite the awful shooting percentages Detroit had 5 double digit scorers on the night against Boston. Center Greg Monroe led the Detroit Pistons with 17 points and tied the game lead with 10 rebounds. Rodney Stuckey came in second on the Pistons in scoring with 16 points after hitting only 2 of his 10 shots from the field and missing his only 3 point attempt. What pushed Stuckey into the double digits was hitting 12 out of his 15 free throws.
NBA Betting Prediction: With the way the Detroit Pistons played Sunday against the Celtics, they were very lucky Boston played even worse to help them secure the win. However the Cleveland Cavaliers did not play much better in their latest outing against the Kings at home. I’m looking for the Pistons to win a tight game in Cleveland to give them their first three road win streak in more than three years.
