NBA Betting Predictions: Philadelphia 76ers vs Minnesota Timberwolves
Tonight the Timberwolves at home try to snap three consecutive losses to the Philadelphia 76ers. BetDSI Sportsbook current live lines display the 76ers as -120 favorites giving up just one point to the Timberwolves.
The Philadelphia 76ers take to the road after losing three straight at home. In their last game they put in their worst shooting performance of the season in a 82-75 loss to the Dallas Mavericks. Philadelphia shot an abysmal 33.7% from the floor and hit only 1 out of 14 three point attempts. They manged only 24 points after the half with their starters missing all 14 of their shots after the halftime.
The Sixers bench far outplayed their starters with three scorers putting up double digit points, and Nikola Vucevic leading the team in scoring with 16 points. Apart from Vucevic’s 7-8 shooting from the field the rest of the team was just down right awful. Louis Williams hit only 4-15 shots and made none of his five three point attempts. Jodie Meeks failed to hit any of his three shots from the field or any of his three 3-points attempts. Andre Iguodala shot only 2-9 from the floor and one out of three 3-point attempts.
The Minnesota Timberwolves have been playing great behind Kevin Love who has seven straight double-doubles pushing his league leading total to 27 while Nikola Pekovic has four straight double doubles. In Minneosta’s most recent game they beat the Houston Rockets at home 111-98 in Kevin Love’s first game against Houston since his suspension for kicking at Luis Scola while down. Minnesota shot a great 55.8% from the floor and hit 5 of 15 three point attempts.
Kevin Love led the game in scoring against the Rockets with 33 points and also led with 17 rebounds. Nikola Pekovic also played great with 30 points,12 rebounds, and 3 blocked shots. They did not get much from their bench however certainly did not need it as PG Ricky Rubio also had 18 points to go with his 9 assists. Rubio and Pekovic do need to hold on to the ball a little better however as they both had six turnover on the game.
NBA Betting Prediction: I believe the Philadelphia 76ers winning streak over the Minnesota Timberwolves ends tonight. Minnesota has been playing far too strong for a slumping Sixers team that is also missing their starting Center due to injury.
