NBA Betting Predictions: Washington Wizards vs Cleveland Cavaliers
The Washington Wizards have been playing their best basketball in what seems like forever with winning four straight and six of the last eight. They look to continue that when they travel to take on the Cleveland Cavaliers tonight. BetDSI Sportsbook current live lines display the Cleveland Cavaliers a -1 ½ point favorite over the Wizards.
Washington’s winning streak is their longest since 07-08 and it has certainly injected some hope towards the future with this young team. After a shocking victory in Miami over the Heat, the Wizrds then romped on the Bobcats in a 101-73 victory on Monday. Washington shot 55 percent from the floor, but struggled from behind the arc going 2 for 18. They forced Charlotte to turn the ball over a nasty 24 times.
Wizards Forward/ Center Nene led the Wizards in scoring with 18 points, doing so from the bench. Point-Guard John Wall had 16 points on 7 for 13 shooting to go with a nice 14 assists on the night. Forward Jan Vesely had 16 points on a really impressive performance with 8 for 8 shooting to go with 6 boards, 4 steals, and an assist.
The Cleveland Cavaliers on the other hand have not been performing losing the last 5 of 6 and 17 of 21 total games. Their last loss came on Monday with a 109-101 defeat on the road at the hands of the Memphis Grizzlies. Shooting 46% from the floor and hitting 11 out of 24 three-point shots, scoring wasn’t the biggest problem of the Cavaliers against Memphis. It was more the 17 turnovers and sending them to the foul line 36 times.
Leading the game in scoring was Cavaliers rookie PG Kyrie Irving with 25 points on 10 for 16 shooting to go with 4 points. Forward Antawn Jamison shot 6 for 12 and hit 3 out of 6 three-point shots for 17 points to go with 9 boards, 3 assists. Tristan Thompson put up 12 points mostly on free-throws as he only shot 3 for 10 and Manny Harris led the bench with 11 points on 5 for 9 shooting, 3 rebounds, and 4 assists.
NBA Betting Prediction: The Washington Capitals have really been playing impressive their last few games out and are really looking to build upon that. The Cleveland Cavaliers have not been playing so great and I look for the Capitals to keep their surge going exploiting that.
