NBA Playoffs Betting: Boston Celtics vs Miami Heat
Hello ladies and gentlemen, my apologies for my drop in coverage of the NBA Playoffs for a little more than a week as I had a terrible cold. Back in I realize my home team Boston Celtics are in the Conference Finals against the Miami Heat.
Tonight is game two with the Heat winning the first matchup at home in a big way 93-79. BetDSI Sportsbook current live lines display the Heat as large -450 favorites giving up -8 points to the Celtics.
The Boston Celtics shot just 39.5% in game one hitting only 4 of 14 three-point shots and a dreaded 11-21 at the foul line. Boston will have to be more physical in game two, they were beat on the boards terribly as the Heat made 48 rebounds to the Celtics 33.
Leading the Celtics in scoring was Kevin Garnett with 23 on 9-16 shooting and making almost a third of his team’s rebounds with 10. Rajon Rondo made 7 dishes while making 16 points on 8-20 shooting, and Paul Pierce notched just 12 points while shooting 5 for 18 from the floor.
The Miami Heat were dominant shooting 50% on 36-72 shooting, they could have been better from behind the arc going just 5 – 25 and shot better from the line which they hit only 16-23. Apart from that they were great inside the paint and battered the Celtics when it came to rebounding.
Leading the game in scoring was Miami’s Lebron James who notched 32 points on 13-22 shooting to go with 13 rebounds and 3 assists. Dwayne Wade had 22 points on 8 – 13 shooting with 7 assists, two blocked shots, and a steal. Mario Chalmers, Mike Miller, and Shane Battier were all roll players who had 8+ points in the matchup.
NBA Playoffs Betting Prediction: The Miami Heat are tough at home and after the pounding they gave their opponents in the first matchup it is hard to vision the Celtics getting their first win outside of Boston. I go with the Heat against the 8 point spread tonight in Miami.
