NCAA March Madness Iowa State vs Ohio State

NCAA March Madness Iowa State vs Ohio State

Great match-up in the third round of the NCAA tournament when big offense tenth seed Iowa State Cyclones (23-11, 11-7 Big 12) meets great defense in second seed Ohio State Buckeyes ( 27-7, 13-5 Big Ten). Ohio State who is on a roll winning nine straight will be favorites on BetDSI Sportsbook current live lines over a visiting Iowa State who have won 4 of their last 5.

Ohio State is on a tear winning nine consecutive games while dispatching four ranked teams in the process. They did not lose a single game to an unranked team during the season and have just been playing spectacular defense not allowing more than 60 points but one time during their current nine game win streak.

In their last match-up the Buckeyes beat out Iona 95-70 behind leading scorer Junior forward Deshaun Thomas who put 24 points in his last game shooting 8-12 from the field and 3-3 from behind the arc helping his team move on by beating Iona. Ohio shot 47.9% from the floor while only allowing Iona to shoot 35.4% from the floor and convert only 6 out of 28 three point attempts.

Losing only one game to the Kansas Jayhawks in their last five games the Iowa State Cyclones have been playing some really good basketball. In fact they have won 7 of their last 10 with two of the three losses coming to the Jayhawks and the other to Oklahoma on the road.

The cyclones latest win against Notre Dame in the second round was big 76-58 in a game that was a pick’em at BetDSI at -110 on each team. Iowa scored almost at will shooting 49.2 percent from the floor and a very high 42.9% from behind the arc. Their defense was also very solid grabbing four steals and creating 17 total turnovers in the match-up against ND.

This is going to be a good contest and a very tough one to pick for sure. I really like Ohio State as they have been playing great basketball. Iowa is no push-over with an electric offense that averages well over a point per a possession but Ohio’s defense have seen as good offenses and allow just .88 points per possession. Take Ohio State and lay the points as they have beaten everyone in their last nine games by more than seven except highly ranked MSU.
