NCAAF Handicapping – Arizona vs. #3 Oregon

Rich Rodriguez is making the most of his return to coaching as he has the Arizona Wildcats off to a 3-0 start that includes a major upset win over Oklahoma State.  But Rich-Rod faces his biggest challenge yet on Saturday as he takes his team to Eugene, Oregon to face the #3 in the nation Oregon Ducks with kickoff time from Autzen Stadium set for 7:30 PM PT.  Oregon opened as a 23 point favorite with the BetDSI Sportsbook odds and the game will be on ESPN.

Arizona vs Oregon

Rich Rod Offense Ignites Arizona
While new Arizona coach Rich Rodriguez may have been a bad fit at Michigan he had undeniable success at West Virginia and was known throughout NCAAF handicapping for his dynamic offenses.  His Arizona Wildcats are 2-1 ATS and ranked 4th nationally for total offense as QB Matt Scott already has 995 yards passing.  The defense is ranked 63rd however and Arizona may face a reality check against Oregon.

Oregon Overlays

Oregon has a NCAAF handicapping mark of 3-0 straight up but 0-3 ATS as coach Chip Kelly empties his bench after compiling big leads, which has proven to leave the backdoor open for payouts by the inferior opponents.  Oregon is ranked 5th in the nation for scoring but their defense is ranked 63rd for points allowed.  De’Anthony Thomas already has 7 TD’s with an insane 228 yards rushing on just 13 attempts for a 17.5 YPC average along with 11 receptions for 154 yards and a strong look at the Heisman.

The Matchup

Arizona is just 6-14 ATS on the road but Oregon has been sloppy at home with just 3 payouts in their last 14 games as a host. Arizona has paid out in 5 of the last 7 meetings between these two teams with the last 4 games in this series going over the total.  The Wildcats have paid out in 2 of their last 3 visits to Eugene with all 3 of the games clearing the total.
