NFL Betting Picks: Detroit Lions at Buffalo Bills
Thursday at 3:30 Pacific, the Detroit Lions (3-0) travel to Ralph Wilson Stadium to take on the Buffalo Bills. BetDSI.eu sportsbook currently have the Lions a -1 point favorite
The Buffalo Bills in last weeks preseason game against the Jacksonville Jaguars put up insane offensive numbers 35 points in a rare overtime preseason win. QB Ryan Fitzpatrick looked really good that game throwing 11 completions on 12 attempts for 165 yards and 2 TD’s. The rushing game for the Bills did not look impressive with Bruce Hall leading the pack with 7 rushes for 33 yards and a TD. Fred Jackson seen the rock on 9 carries for the same amount of yards as Hall 33 and leaving one on the ground with a fumble.
The Bills defense did not fair as well as their offense, as you can see by the score in their last game that defense was pretty much non-existant allowing 32 points to the Jacksonville Jaguars.. Although Da’Norris Searcy had 5 tackles an Int and a forced fumble.
The Detroit Lions offense last week looked nothing short of stellar against the New England Patriots posting 34 points against what has been a good Patriots defense this preseason. Matthew Stafford put up ridiculous numbers, 12 completions on 14 attempts for 200 yards 2TD’s and 0 INT’s in just a half of football. No particular back in the Lions backfield did anything amazing but RB by committee did enough putting up 114 total rushing yards.
The defense of the Lions was almost as impressive as their offense as they absolutely harassed the QB all game. The secondary got an Int and the defense also forced a Tom Brady fumble. DE Cliff Avril was strictly business making 2 tackles, 2 sacks, and forcing a fumble. Bobby Carpenter who could not find his rhythm in Dallas made 6 tackles and one assisted leading the Lions in tackles.
My Prediction: Bet the house on the Detroit Lions them giving up only -1 to the Bills is crazy-town. I think this has to do with the sheer amount of points the Buffalo Bills put up last week which will not be replicated against this stout Lions defense.
