NFL Betting Predictions: Arizona Cardinals at Baltimore Ravens
This Sunday the Baltimore Ravens (4-2) will try to put the upset loss they endured on Monday Night Football behind them as they will host the Arizona Cardinals (1-5). BetDSI Sportsbook current Live Lines show the Baltimore as huge favorites giving up -12 1/2 points to the Cardinals.
The Arizona Cardinals despite only winning one game, have not performed at an absolutely terrible level, and have some tough losses this year. They have kept a majority of the games very close with their new QB Kevin Kolb at the helm. Last week against the Steelers Kolb played respectable, completing 18 passes out of 34, for 272 yards, 2 TD’s, and an INT. RB Beanie Wells injured his knee in the performance only running 12 times for 42 yards, according to reports he does not think his knee will make him miss any time.
This Cardinals defense has been solid at times, and really bad during the rest. The unit has 13 sacks so far this year, and they certainly need to create more turnovers as they have 4 interceptions but only 3 forced fumbles. DE Calais Campbell is their playmaker on defense, so far this year he has 31 tackles (two away from leading the team which is tough to do as a DE), 2.5 sacks, and a forced fumble.
The Baltimore Ravens are coming off of a terribly upsetting loss to the Jacksonville Jaguars on MNF. QB Joe Flacco played subpar at best, throwing 21 completions on 38 attempts, but only getting 137 yards while throwing a TD and INT. RB Ray Rice had a very uncharacteristic game for him rushing the ball only 8 times for 28 yards and losing a fumble. Rookie WR Torrey Smith has been mostly quiet since his week 3 onslaught, where he had 5 catches for 152 yards and 3 TD’s.
You certainly cannot place the blame on the Ravens defense for their embarassing Monday night loss, as they held the Jaguars to only 12 points. They have been shutting down teams all year, and future hall of fame LB Ray Lewis is still playing like a stud. Lewis leads the team in tackles with 50, has 2 sacks, and 2 forced fumbles. OLB Terrell Suggs has been wreaking havoc upon opposing QB’s, getting 5 sacks and 2 forced fumbles on the year.
My Prediction: The Arizona Cardinals have only been beaten one time this season by more than 12 points. The Baltimore Ravens offense has had troubles in some games getting the ball moving, so I would definitly take the points here with the Cardinals.
