NFL Betting Predictions: Atlanta Falcons vs Washington Redskins
QB Matt Ryan and the Atlanta Falcons have a chance to start out he season 5-0 and remain one of the only two undefeated teams in the league ( the other is the Houston Texans) when they travel to take on electrifying rookie young QB Robert Griffin III and the Washington Redskins. BetDSI Sportsbook current live lines display the Falcons -160 favorites giving up -3 points to the Redskins.
In the Atlanta Falcons week four victory kicker Matt Bryant kicked the game winning field goal with five seconds left to rally his team 30-28 over the Carolina Panthers. QB Matt Ryan was sacked a career high seven times but still managed to throw three touchdown, and the running game was really moving as RB Michael Turner only needed 13 rushes to eclipse 100 yards. Tuner also had 3 catches for 68 yards and a touchdown.
The biggest day however came from Atlanta receiver Roddy White who tore the Panthers defense up for 8 catches 169 yards and two touchdowns. TE Tony Gonzalez just looks like he could play forever as he is still getting it done , last Sunday he had 5 catches for more yards to add to his future Hall of Fame resume.
The Washington Redskins with their truly impressive rookie QB RG3 have a gritty 2-2 record but could easily have been 3-1. Last week they won 24-22 against the Buccaneers with a game ending field goal by Billy Cundiff who missed his first three kicks of the night.
RG3 played stellar throwing 26 times for 35 completions for 323 yards, he also ran 8 times for 36 yards and a touchdown. Running back Alfred Morris has been another excited rookie for Washington, so far this season he has 82 carries for 376 yards and 4 touchdowns. Against the Bucs Morris ran wild with 21 carries for 113 yards and a score.
With the Atlanta Falcons coming into this game with the best start they have had since 2004 it is going to be very tough for the young Washington Redskins to pull out a win, even at home. The Washington Redskins will make this a fun game to watch but I do not see them stopping the offensive onslaught of the Falcons.
Take the Falcons money line as -160 sounds good, just in-case the Skins rookie QB pulls some magic out and keeps it close.
