NFL Betting Predictions: Baltimore Ravens at Atlanta Falcons

Thursday at 7:30pm Eastern, the Atlanta Falcons (0-3) host the Baltimore Ravens (3-0) at the Georgia Dome. BetDSI.eu sportsbook currently have the Ravens as a -3 point favorite against the Falcons at home.

The Baltimore Ravens this offseason have been really good on offense averaging per game 22 points, 372 yards per game, 252 passing yards, and 119 rushing yards. Ravens QB Joe Flacco has been solid this preseason throwing 32 completions on 57 attempts for 403 yards 2TD’s and 1 INT. RB Ray Rice is showing a little of what he will bring to this team this season rushing for 403 yards on just 25 carries and 2 TD’s. WR Lee Evans looks to be a great addition to the team with 6 catches for 128 yards and a TD this preseason, with one going 43 yards.

The Ravens defense has been no nonsense as usual tallying 9 sacks , 2 forced fumbles , and intercepting the ball 4 times this preseason. The defense has allowed per game averages of only 16 points, 318 total yards, 224 passing yards, 93 rushing yards. The Ravens defense is tough, physical, and disrupt many plays a game, they are truly a fun defense to watch year in and year out. No one on the Ravens defense have two full sacks showing a bunch of players can get to the QB in a hurry.

The Atlanta Falcons offense has not been great and much to blame for their winless preseason to date is due to it’s lack of success. The Falcons offense has generated per game averages of 17 points, 334 total yards, 240 passing, 94 rushing this preseason. While much there is much to blame on Atlanta’s offense for their poor preseason, not all can be attributed to QB Matt Ryan. Ryan has thrown 35 completions on 68 attempts for 426 yards, 3 TD’s and 1 INT. A lot of blame can however be cast on the three backup QB’s of the Falcons has all 3 have thrown an interception and not one TD between all three. RB Michael Turner has not had a good preseason at all only averaging 3.0 yards per carry on 18 attempts however putting one in the endzone.  RB Jacquizz Rodgers has 19 attempts for 93 yards for 4.9 yards per carry.

The Falcons defense has not been bad allowing per game average of 18 points, 332 total yards, 226 passing yards, and 105 rushing yards a game. The Falcons have shown an ability to get to the opposing QB tallying up 7 sacks this preseason, and also picking the ball off for 4 INT’s. Jonathan Babineaux leads his defense with two sacks, one in his last two games.

I predict the Ravens to win this one convincingly against the Falcons who don’t want to see their preseason troubles carry into the regular season.  Take the Ravens against the low -3 point spread or throw a bunch of dollars on the money line when that comes out later today.
