NFL Betting Predictions: Baltimore Ravens at Tennessee Titans
This Sunday at 1pm Eastern, the Baltimore Ravens travel to LP Field to take on the Tennessee Titans. BetDSI.eu sportsbook http://betdsi.com/live-lines/football currently have the Ravens as a -255 favorite against the Titans giving up -5 1/2 points via the spread.
The Ravens offense was stellar last week against a usually very tough Steelers defense putting up 35 points. QB Joe Flacco was great throwing 17 completions on 29 attempts for 224 yards, for a 58.6% completions rating, and 3 TD’s 0 INT’s, and a high 117.6 QB rating. It did not take long for the acquisition of RB Ricky Williams to show he can shine in this offense as his first game he rushed 12 times for 63 yards a nice 5.3 yards per attempt. RB Ray Rice the feature back was really good too running 19 times for 107 yarsd a 5.6 yards per carry and a TD.
The Ravens defense was solid as usual, getting to the QB for 4 sacks and 4 forced fumbles in one game. LB Terrell Suggs was menacing grabbing 3 of those sacks and forcing 2 fumbles. Safety Ed Reed one of the greatest ball hawks in the history of the NFL grabbed 2 interceptions, and future hall of fame Linebacker Ray Lewis also had an interception. This defense is scary good this year , and any team going to play the Ravens will be in a tough fight to gain yardage and points.
The Tennessee Titans offense did not look good with the little bright spots coming from newly acquired QB Matt Hasselbeck. Hasselbeck threw for 21 completions on 34 attempts good for 263 yards, a 61.8% completions rate, 2TD’s 1 INT , and a 93.1 QB rating. The Titans running game would have been better off not even taking the bus with the team, as RB Chris Johnson ran 9 times for only 24 yards a terrible 2.7 yards per carry. At least Johnson had 6 catches for 25 yards not impressive but at least a check down outlet for QB Hasselbeck.
The Titans defense didn’t exactly show up to play either as they gave up 20 points, 323 total yards, an absolutely ridiculous 163 yards rushing, and 160 yards passing. They allowed their opponents to convert on 3rd down 9/19 times, while managing only 2 sacks, 1 forced fumble, and grabbing no interceptions on the day.
My Prediction: This one has blowout written all over it, with the Titans only spotted -5 1/2 points atm that just doesnt sound like enough for me. Take the Ravens against the spread or jump on the moneyline with confidence.
