NFL Betting Predictions: Baltimore Ravens vs Cleveland Browns

Sunday the Baltimore Ravens travel to the Dog Pound to take on the Cleveland Browns. BetDSI Sportsbook current Live Lines display the Ravens as -6 1/2 point favorites over the Browns.

The Baltimore Ravens on Thanksgiving were one half of ” The Harbaugh Bowl” against the 49ers where the brothers Harbaugh coached their teams against each other. Joe Flacco was clearly the best QB in the game throwing 15 completions on 23 attempts for 161 yards and a TD. Ray Rice had a tough game against the Niners running 21 times for 59 yards and having 3 receptions for 24 yards. Anquan Boldin led the team in receiving with 4 catches for 63 yards.

What a day the Ravens defense had, they were not just eating turkey on Thanksgiving as they feasted on San Francisco’s QB Alex Smith for a ridiculous 9 sacks on the day. They allowed a ridiculously low 170 yards total, only 74 rushing, and a staggeringly low 96 yards passing. I would be making a list if I were to name all the playmakers on the Ravens defense that game, so I will just mention that Terrell Suggs had an impressive 3 tackle 3 sack game, while DT Haloti Nagata had 2 sacks and DE Cory Redding had 2 and a half.

The Cleveland Browns are coming into this game having lost their last matchup in come from behind fashion 23-20 to the Bengals. QB Colt McCoy had a mediocre day throwing 16 completions on 34 attempts for 151 yards, 2 TD’s, and an interception. While RB Peyton Hillis did not fair much better in his return game from injury running 19 times for only 65 yards. Greg Little and Jordan Norwood both caught touchdown passes in the loss.

The Browns defense didn’t play terrible but let the team down on the Bengals final drive allowing a 51 yard completion in the final minute to set up the winning field goal. They allowed 389 total yards, 132 of which rushing, 257 yards passing. A little pass rush was generated getting two sacks and forcing a fumble, they however did not force the Bengals rookie QB Andy Dalton to throw a single interception.

Betting Prediction: I like the Baltimore Ravens over the Cleveland Browns as they are clearly a much better team. However with the inconsistencies of the Ravens offense and their ability to score I do not like them at -6 1/2 points.
