NFL Betting Predictions: Baltimore Ravens vs Houston Texans
The only two teams above .500 in the AFC face off this weekend as the Baltimore Ravens (5-1) travel to take on the Houston Texans (5-1). BetDSI Sportsbook current live betting lines display the Texans as -310 favorites giving up -7 points to the Ravens.
The Baltimore Ravens are coming off a 31-29 win over the Cowboys in which they lost the heart and soul of their defense linebacker Ray Lewis for the season. They also lost their best cornerback Lardarius Webb. Even at Ray Lewis age with his skills declining he is still the leading tackler on the Ravens. Cornerback Jimmy Smith replacing Ladarius Webb is certainly a large decline.
In their victory against Dallas the Ravens offense played well with QB Joe Flacco throwing 17 completions on 26 attempts for 234 yards and a touchdown. Ray Rice had a big day with 16 carries, 63 yards, two touchdowns, and a catch for 43 yards. Veteran receiver Anquan Boldin led Baltimore receivers with 5 catches 98 yards.
The Houston Texans are coming off their first loss of the season 42-24 to the Green Bay Packers. Houston showed in defeat just how much the offense runs through RB Arian Foster as he struggled with 17 carries for only 29 yards, however he did score two touchdowns. When Foster struggles the rest of the offense followed with QB Matt Schaub throwing 20 completions on 33 attempts for 232 yards but no scores and two interceptions.
The price is certainly great for a Baltimore Ravens team that has only lost one game this season, but the way they were run all over by Dallas last week the Houston Texans could have a field day. Regardless the price is just too good to pass up a play on the Ravens to take a brutal -7 or -310 on two very equally matched teams.
