NFL Betting Predictions: Buffalo Bills vs New York Jets
For a team that started their season so promising the Buffalo Bills season has gone downhill quickly. They have lost their last three games with their offense failing to score more than 11 points in any of those matchups. Last week week their offense managed two field goals, and did not convert a single 3rd down in a 35-8 beatdown by the hands of the Dolphins. QB Ryan Fitzpatrick has been in quite a rut the past few weeks, last Sunday he threw two interceptions and fumbled the ball twice.
The Buffalo Bills defense have given up a 106 total points in their last three games. Against Miami they allowed 242 total yards, 147 passing, and 95 rushing, giving up 3 passing touchdowns, and another TD on the ground. There is not really much to say here for a team that has been consistently shelled in recent weeks.
Last time the New York Jets won a football game was three weeks ago against this weeks opponent the Buffalo Bills, and did so in convincing fashion 27-11. Last week they blew a lead when Denver’s rookie QB Tim Tebow drove the ball 95 yards downfield for a score. Their offense did little for them putting up only 13 points. QB Mark Sanchez completed only 24 of his 40 passes for 252 yards and an interception. Not much was happening in the running game either as Joe McKnight had 16 rushes for 59 yards.
The Jets defense actually played well last week, however folded when it mattered letting Tebow repeatedly QB option down the field for the win. New York’s defense gave up a total of 318 yards, 235 passing, and 83 yards rushing in total against Denver.
Betting Prediction: The Buffalo Bills are in disarray right now, with the New York Jets not far behind. The Jets however have produced more offense and better defense than the Bills as of late. New York could easily cover this spread with the way the Buffalo defense has allowed points by the bunches the last three games.
