NFL Betting Predictions: Buffalo Bills vs New York Jets
This weekend the Buffalo Bills (5-2) travel to the MetLife stadium to take on the New York Jets (4-3). BetDSI Sportsbook current Live Lines show the Bills as a -145 favorite over the Jets, giving up -3 points via the spread.
The Buffalo Bills are coming off a red hot win shutout victory 23-0 against the Washington Redskins. QB Ryan Fitzpatrick coming off his freshly inked new contract played fantastic going 21/27 for 262 yards and 2 touchdowns. Runningback Fred Jackson probably the most underrated player in the league had 26 carries for 120 yards averaging 4.6 yards per carry. TE Scott Chandler had an impressive day with his two for 36 total yards and 2 TD’s.
The Bills defense came in and imposed their will upon the Redskins offense, getting 9 total sacks on the game, more than they had all year long. With the pressure all day to the Redskins QB John Beck, they managed to grab up 2 interceptions. Strong safety George Wilson led the Bills with tackles having 9 on the day.
The New York Jets are coming off a bye week, however in the previous week they had a nail biting win over the San Diego Chargers, 27 – 21. Jets QB Mark Sanchez completed 18 passes on 33 attempts for 173 yards, 3TD’s and an interception. Shonn Greene finally got the running game moving for the Jets gaining 112 yards on 20 carrys. K Nick Folk had 3 field goals, his longest a 42 yarder on the day.
The Jets defense had some troubles, especially in getting the Chargers off the field on third down, as the defense allowed San Diego to convert 7 out of 14 third down attempts. New York’s defense gave up 268 total yards against the Chargers, 172 passing, and 96 rushing. DB Kyle Wilson had an interception on the day, and star CB Darrelle Revis had a game ending interception on San Diego’s final drive.
My Prediction: This is truly a pick em game, both teams are playing hot, and either could win this matchup on any given day. I say take either the Buffalo Bills on the moneyline or jump on the New York Jets on the +3.
