NFL Betting Predictions: Cincinnati Bengals vs Baltimore Ravens
Sunday afternoon the Cincinnati Bengals (6-3) will visit MT&T Bank Stadium to take on the Baltimore Ravens (6-3). BetDSI Sportsbook current Live Lines display Baltimore a -7 points favorite over Cincinnati.
The Baltimore Ravens have clearly been struggling the past few weeks. In the past 4 weeks they have went 2-2 with their two losses coming at the hands of the lowly Jaguars, and last week the sub-par Seahawks. Against Seattle, Baltimore’s QB Joe Flacco threw 29 completions on 52 attempts for 255 yards a TD and an INT. Runningback Ray Rice has not been as explosive the past few weeks either, last game running only 5 times for 27 yards. Although Rice always a problem coming out of the backfield had 8 receptions for 54 yards giving him a more respectable day.
Against the Seattle the Ravens defense was put into some tough situations, with the Baltimore WR David Reed fumbling twice on kick returns deep in his own territory. Baltimore was not able to pressure the QB much getting only one sack, and not creating a single turnover. In total the Ravens defense gave up 327 total yards, 208 passing, and 119 in the running game.
The Cincinnati Bengals are coming off a tough fought loss to the Steelers who are 12-1 against rookie QB’s since 2004. Cincinnati QB Andy Dalton played mistake free football until the 4th quarter where he threw 2 interceptions. Dalton ended the game 15/30 for 170 yards and 2 TD, 2 INT’s. He played without his best WR for most of the game, as A.J. Green injured his leg making a circus catch in the endzone at the end of the first quarter. Green will be a gametime decision against the Baltimore Ravens.
The Bengals defense had 4 sacks and could have been more if Steelers QB Ben Roethlisberger wasen’t so good at avoiding the rush. CB Leon Hall had an interception but is now out for the rest of the season due to a torn achilles tendon suffered before halftime against Pittsburgh. Next week they will rely on ousted 49er CB Nate Clements, recently promoted from practice squad Brandon Ghee a 3rd round pick from 2010 that played 6 games on special teams last year, and oft injured Adam ” formerly Pac-Man” Jones to make up their secondary next week.
Betting Prediction: I really like how the Cincinnatti Bengals have been playing as of late, and really turned this franchise around this year. However the Baltimore Ravens are a totally different team at home than on the road, and I think they will exploit the Bengals make shift secondary with the loss of CB Leon Hall.
