NFL Betting Predictions: Cincinnati Bengals vs Pittsburgh Steelers
Last weekend the Cincinnati Bengals pulled out a tough fought 23-20 victory over teh Cleveland Browns. Rookie QB Andy Dalton has really showed poise and leadership leading his team to a 7-4 record so far this year. Last week he had 21 completions on 31 attempts for 270 yards and a TD. Cedric Benson carried the ball well rushing 21 times for 106 yards and a touchdown. Rookie WR AJ Green coming back from injury went right back to where he left off, leading his team in receiving catching 3 balls for 110 yards.
The Bengals defense was tight again allowing only 272 total yards, 134 rushing, and 140 passing, giving up 20 points. Defensive tackle Geno Atkins and DE Robert Geathers both had sacks on the day. FS Reggie Nelson who has stepped into the Bengals program nicely this year had two passes defended and an interception.
The Pittsburgh Steelers had a heck of a time dispatching the struggling Chiefs last week but getting the win non-the less 13-9. Ben Roethlisberger went 21 of 31 for 193 yards a TD and an interception. Rashard Mendenhall wasent allowed much yardage at all gaining just 57 yards on 17 carries. WR Antonio Brown led the team in receiving with 4 catches for 81 yards and TE Weslye Saunders had the teams only TD with a 2 yard reception. The Steelers had huge problems on 3rd down on converting 3 out of 11 attempts.
Pittsburgh’s defense was hard nosed as usual allowing only 9 points on 252 total yards, 162 passing, and 90 rushing. CB Ryan Mundy led the team in tackles 10 and also had an interception. A few CB’s got in on the fun with Keenan Lewis and Ike Taylor also getting interceptions. Outside Linebacker Jason Worilds had the teams only sack and also had 7 tackles.
Betting Prediction: This game is interesting to predict as the Pittsburgh Steelers struggled in a win against a very beat up KC team with a QB making his first start. While the Cincinnati Bengals well enough to dispatch a mediocre Browns team. I don’t know if the Bengals are good enough to upset the Steelers at home but a +6 1/2 point spread looks like money.
