NFL Betting Predictions: Cleveland Browns vs Pittsburgh Steelers

Tonight the Cleveland Browns (4-8) travel to Heinz Field to take on the Pittsburgh Steelers (9-3). BetDSI Sportsbook current Live Lines display the Steelers as huge -1100 favorites giving up -14 points to the Browns.

The Pittsburgh Steelers have now won 3 in a row, last week a dominant 35-7 victory over a tough Bengals team. QB Ben Roethlisberger had a great day going 15/23 for 176 yards and 2 TD’s and no mistakes. So didn’t RB Rashard Mendenhall who had 16 carries for 60 yards and 2 touchdowns. WR Antonio Brown had two huge receptions for 67 yards, while Mike Wallace had 3 receptions 38 yards and 2 TDs.

The Steelers defense caused problems all day for the young Bengals offense. Cincinnati was only allowed 232 total yards, 104 rushing, and 128 passing. Steelers CB Ike Taylor had 7 tackles and an interception. The only big game from any of the Bengals offense was rookie WR A.J. Green hwo had 6 catches for 87 yards and a the teams only touchdown.

The Cleveland Browns dropped their second game in a row this week 24-10. QB Colt McCoy had trouble getting his offense moving as he went 17/35 for 192 yards a TD and an interception. Peyton Hillis who has not been the same runningback as last year had 12 carries for an unimpressive 45 yards, however did have a reception for 52 yards. The Browns only managed to convert on third down 21% of the time 3/14, hard to win with those numbers.

Cleveland’s defense was run all over by the Ravens Ray Rice as he had a career day with 29 carries for 204 yards and a touchdown. In all the Browns gave up 448 total yards of offense, a staggering 290 rushing, and 158 passing. LB D’Qwell Jackson led the Browns in tackles with 12 tackles, while rookie DE Jabaal Sheard had the best day with 10 tackles and a sack which caused a fumble.

Betting Prediction: What an upset it would be for the Cleveland Browns to pull out a victory over the streaking Pittsburgh Steelers. However it does not appear likely, the Browns played abysmal last week while the Steelers stomped all over a competitive Bengals team. Look for the Steelers to dominate again this Thursday.
