NFL Betting Predictions: Denver Broncos vs Minnesota Vikings
The Minnesota Vikings will again be without star RB Adrian Peterson as they were last week in their 24-14 loss to the Falcons. Rookie QB Christian Ponder made no mistakes throwing 17 completions on 25 attempts for 186 yards and a TD. Percy Harvin had a 104 yard kick return (not for a touchdown) and was used at RB running 5 times for 11 yards. Toby Gerhart had 17 carries for 44 yards and a TD.
The Vikings defense was not able to do much to slow Atlanta’s offense as they gave up 335 total yards, 89 rushing, and 246 passing. Linebacker E.J. Henderson led the team with 12 tackles, and DE Everson Griffin and DT Kevin Williams both had a sack. Atlanta totaled 22 first downs, and converted on third down 50% of the time 7/14.
The Denver Broncos since switching to rookie QB Tim Tebow, have won five of their last six games. Last week it was the Chargers who Denver upset at home 16-13. Tim Tebow had 9 completions on 18 attempts for 143 yards and a touchdown. As always he also did alot of running with 22 carries for 67 yards. Willis McGahee continues to pound away at defenses as he had 23 carries for 117 yards. Eric Decker led the team with 3 receptions for 65 yards and a touchdown.
Denver’s defense once again was solid allowing only 13 points on 344 yards, 185 rushing, and 159 passing. Linebacker Von Miller continued his defensive rookie of the year campaign making 10 tackles and one sack. LB DJ Williams led the team with 12 tackles, and DE Elvis Dumervil seems back to form as he had 5 tackles and 2 sacks.
Betting Predictions: How the Minnesota Vikings are -2 point favorites over the Denver Broncos and their rugged defense is beyond me. Christian Ponder maybe running for his life and make some mistakes against this Broncos team. Lets not forget Tim Tebow’s circus run every play on the final drive to win the game act. Take the Broncos on the moneyline for some added value.
