NFL Betting Predictions: Green Bay Packers vs Cincinnati Bengals

Tonight undefeated thus far in the preseason Cincinnati Bengals (2-0) host the win-less Green Bay Packers (0-2). BetDSI Sportsbook current live lines display the Packers as -145 favorites giving up -3 points to the Bengals.

The Packers lost last week 21-13 to the San Diego Chargers in a game QB Aaron Rodgers looked more sharp than the first preseson game. Throwing 6 completions on 11 attempts Rodgers had 59 yards and a 20 yard touchdown toss to receiver Jordy Nelson.

The running game has been awful with Marc Tyler 21 carries for a whopping 38 yards and Alex Green 7 carries 19. James Starks has only had five carries , difficult to judge if he will be the answer so they went and picked up workhorse back Cedric Benson who will be playing against his former team.

The Cincinnati Bengals have been preseason warriors so far winning both games they’ve played. QB Andy Dalton has looked sharp enough and the QB depth behind him has been playing just as effective against opponents secondary teams.

Dalton has looked like a true leader on the field and is synching up with A.J. Green nicely as with limited time in preseason play they have connected twice for 59 yards and a touchdown. Jermaine Gresham has been a huge target in the middle with two catches for 44 yards, and Marvin Jones has been showing playmaking ability with three catches for a total of 90 yards.

Betting Prediction: With both teams presumably playing their starters at least a half in this game it should be a good matchup. Neither team’s defense has been very effective making the over 44 points a viable betting option, but the one I like most is the Bengals at +3 points -120. The Packers preseason play has been notoriously bad giving the Bengals some good odds in this one via the point spread and even money line at +125.
