NFL Betting Predictions: Green Bay Packers vs Indianapolis Colts
Emotional game Sunday as the Indianapolis Colts host the Green Bay Packers in a game they will be playing for their coach Chuck Pagano who has taken a leave of absence upon learning of a sudden leukemia diagnosis. BetDSI Sportsbook current live lines display the Packers as -290 favorites giving up -7 points to the young Colts team.
The Indianapolis Colts had a bye last week after their week three loss 22-17 at the hands of the Jacksonville Jaguars. Indy’s rookie QB Andrew Luck shined at some points throwing 313 yards and two touchdowns to one interception. However completing less than half of his 46 passes he will need to be a little bit more accurate and make better decisions.
Luck had a big game from receivers rookie T.Y. Hilton who had 4 catches, a score, and veteran Reggie Wayne who had 8 grabs for 88 yards. The running game didn’t get much moving with Donald Brown running 18 times for 62 yards, but the biggest disappointment was the colts defense, their secondary who blew a lead late in the fourth allowed a 80 yard TD , and the unit as a whole allowing Jags running back 177 yards on 28 carries.
Not many expected the Green Bay Packers to be 2-2 at this point in the season but even fewer would have expected their last week opponents the New Orleans Saints to remain win-less after a 28-27 Packers victory in week four.
Packers star QB Aaron Rodgers played spectacular going 31-41 for 319 yards and four touchdowns. RB Cedric Benson continues to be a great pick up as he is still a work horse style back, Benson had 18 carries for 84 yards a nice 4.7 yards per carry against the Saints.
This should be an emotional game for the Indianapolis Colts playing for their sick coach Chuck Pagano against a Green Bay Packers team that will do everything in their power to get above .500 .
The Packers at -7 even on the road sounds money as the Colts couldn’t even keep up with the lowly Jacksonville Jaguars getting run and passed all over. Even with missing wide receiver Greg Jennings Green Bay’s rock star offense could have a field day against the Indianapolis defense.
