NFL Betting Predictions: Indianapolis Colts at Cincinnati Bengals
Sunday morning we will watch the struggling Indianapolis Colts travel to take on the Cincinnati Bengals. BetDSI Sportsbook Live Lines currently have the Bengals as a large -340 favorite giving up -7 points to the Colts.
The Bengals have put together back to back 4th quarter comeback wins in recent weeks. Being led by rookie QB Andy Dalton who has been looking more and more comfortable each week. Last week against the Jaguars, Andy Dalton really looked liked a confident QB throwing 2 TD’s to 1 INT. But the big statistic was his completion percentage which was at 63% which was 10% higher than the past two weeks. Bengals brass and fans must be really excited about how Andy Dalton is playing, I believe he is going to be a fine starting NFL QB and has a bright future.
On the other side of the ball the Bengals have been solid , holding teams back on crucial drives, and keeping the game within reach all four quarters. They certainly have a knack for stripping the ball getting 7 forced fumbles to day. The secondary haven’t created alot of turnovers only getting one interception, but all around they play tough and don’t let up alot of big plays.
The Indianapolis Colts lost a heart breaker last week to the Chiefs, after their offense shut down after half-time, and their defense just couldn’t hold the Chiefs passing attack. If you look at stats alone Painter has been playing really good since being handed over the the offense, putting up 618 yards 4 TD’s to 0 INT’s in just two games. The problem with Painter’s play comes with his completion percentage only at 48.5% looking erratic at times with his decision making and throws. If his completion percentage was higher his QB rating would be through the roof as it sits at 100.0 at the moment even with the low completion percentage. Also alot of his big plays have come from totally blown coverages or insanely poor tackling usually from WR Pierre Garcon tearing it up.
The Colts defense can’t be totally blamed for their last two losses, but they certainly arent helping their young QB who has been playing above expectations. Failing to make critical stops at important times, especially in the second half. I said not all blame can go on the defense as the offense seems to stop at half-time as well, this Colts team have not been a 60 minute football playing team this year, and their has been alot of speculation that they are turning it in for a high draft pick. I find this absurd no one wants to field a team that plays well in the first half and then looks pathetic in the second half, make no mistake the Colts are trying their best to win.
My Prediction: The Cincinnati Bengals who’s defense have been playing really well the past three weeks should hold this Colts offense back easily. I think Bengals QB Andy Dalton has another good game, and continues to look more like a NFL QB against this terrible Colts defense. Look for the Bengals to win, and I believe they should cover the spread.
