NFL Betting Predictions: Indianapolis Colts at Tampa Bay Buccaneers
This Monday night at 8:30 pm Eastern, the Indianapolis Colts travel to take on the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. BetDSI sportsbook Live Lines currently have the Buccaneers as a very high -10 point favorites against the Colts.
Not much to write about the Colts offense as it has been terrible, and is now being taken over by 3rd year untested QB Curtis Painter. The Young Painter will have a decent runningback to help him out with Joseph Addai running at a 4.8 yards per carry rate. However the young QB will not have the luxury of playing with a full starting offensive line as two guards are hurt one being the ever important Ryan Diem.
The Colts defense haven’t done much of anything this year, as they have been smoked in each and every game of the season. They amount for little pass rush ( 5 sacks) however manage to intercept the ball 3 times this year, and some how ( I dont know how in the hell ) but they some how managed to force 7 fumbles already.
The Tampa Bay Buccaneers offense was not great at all last week, and definitly have their defense to thank for the low scoring win they earned over the Falcons. QB Josh Freeman threw 22 completions on 32 attempts for 180 yards and 2 INT’s. RB LeGarrette Blount thoroughly unimpressed with 24 attempts for 81 yards giving little help in the rushing department. Its fair to say their best offensive player last week against the Falcons was Kicker Connor Barth who went 3/3 in his field goal attempts.
As I previously stated the Buccaneers defense were the sole reason ( besides K Barth’s field goals) that they were able to pull out a victory over Atlanta last week. The defense certainly showed up to play allowing only 13 points on 325 total yards, a insanely low 30 rushing yards, but higher 295 passing yards. The defense despite giving up so many yards in the passing attack managed to record 4 sacks, 1 INT, and a forced fumble.
My Prediction: The Buccaneers although a good team, absolutely will not be blowing anyone out of the water this year in the point department. The 2 wins they have on the year were by 3 and 4 point margins. I don’t expect the Bucs to cover a -10 point spread against the Colts, and you shouldnt either.
