NFL Betting Predictions: Kansas City Chiefs vs Buffalo Bills
A great game for both these teams as they were both blown out last week by their opponents, but both fans base’s believe this is a game they should come away with the win. BetDSI Sportsbook current live lines display this one to be a very close match-up as the Bills are -3 point favorites over the visiting Chiefs.
The Kansas City Chiefs started very strong for the first half of Sundays game against the Atlanta Falcons , and in the second half completely fell apart. KC lost the match-up 40-24 as they just absolutely could not stop Atlanta wide out Julio Jones.
Quarterback Matt Cassel threw 21 completions for 258 yards, a touchdown, and unfortunately for the Chiefs two interceptions. Jamaal Charles had a good first game back running 16 times for 87 yards, good for 5.4 yards per carry. Peyton Hillis left something to be desired in his first game with 7 carries for only 16 yards, but Shaun Draughn who is pretty much a rookie having only suited up for one game in 2011 impressed with 6 carries 29 yards, two receptions for 12 yds, and a rushing touchdown.
The defense for Kansas City was horrible, with their one bright spot being second year linebacker Justin Houston getting to the QB for a sack in the first half. After that it was a field day for the Falcons passing attack that netted 299 yards and 3 scores.
The Buffalo Bills would fair no better than the Chiefs in their first match-up losing 48-28 in a game that was even more of a blowout than the final score would display. QB Ryan Fitzpatrick threw for 18 completions for 3 touchdowns but also 3 interceptions. Fitzpatrick can be scary good when he is on, this is what prompted Buffalo to sign him to a large contract last year, too bad when he is off his game he is simply awful.
After all the money invested in DE Mario Williams making him the highest paid defensive player in the league, the Buffalo Bills showed no ability to get to the QB with no sacks on the day. Williams managed a whole one tackle in the Jets blow out, and that about sums up the rest of the teams day.
I believe the Kansas City Chiefs showed much more signs of life than the Buffalo Bills in their first game of the 2012 season. The Chiefs have their best defensive weapons returning with their best pass rusher Tamba Hali and best coverman Brandon Flowers. Look for KC to win this one outright on the road against a Bills team that may not show up the first few games of the year.
