NFL Betting Predictions: Miami Dolphins at New York Giants
Sunday the Miami Dolphins travel to MetLife Stadium to take on the New York Giants. BetDSI Sportsbook current Live Lines display the Giants as large -500 favorite giving up -9 1/2 to the Dolphins (4-2).
The New York Giants offense played really well in their 27 – 24 victory last week against the Buffalo Bills .QB Eli Manning had 21 attempts completing 32 for 292 yards and no mistakes. Runningback Ahmad Bradshaw was the hero of the day last week for the Giants with 26 carries for 104 yards and 3 touchdowns. WR Hakeem Nicks had 4 receptions for 96 yards, busting one loose for a 60 yard gain.
The Giants defense gave up some huge plays against the Bills last week. Buffalo QB Ryan Fitzpatrick had 244 yards and 2TD’s, and was on his way to a great day before throwing 2 crucial game changing INT’s. The Giants D also allowed a huge run from Bills RB Fred Jackson for an 80 yard TD. CB Corey Webster was definitly the game changer for the Giants with this two interceptions.
Miami Dolphins have yet to get a win, and with the way their offense has been playing its no wonder. With QB Matt Moore sucking it up in replacement of injured QB Chad Henne, it has been a disaster this year for the Dolphins. Moore last week in a close loss to the Bronco’s, played one of his better games throwing 22 completions on 33 attempts, for 197 yards, and a TD. No INT’s this week, but 2 fumbles one which was lost, and would go on to cost them the game. The fins only scored 15 points last week ( on Moore’s better day) so they went out and seek the services of journeyman ex UFL QB J.P. Lossman. I don’t see him starting his first week in Miami, especially when Moore started to show some improvement.
The Dolphins defense gave up 18 points to the Rookie QB Tim Tebow led Bronco’s. Many of times they should have been burnt badly in the secondary, but lucked out with Tebow missing his throws. The Fins also got beat for 177 yards rushing and 131 yards passing ( and two TD’s in the air).
The Dolphins defense did get to the Bronco’s quarterback Tim Tebow for 6 sacks last week, so maybe they can build upon that, and stop the run this week against the Giants.
My Prediction: The Dolphins are really bad, but -9 1/2 points is tough for just about any team to cover in the NFL. My money is on the Giants moneyline in this one, or take a look at the over when that comes out.
