NFL Betting Predictions: New England Patriots at Buffalo Bills

This has absolutely no relevance to my article , I just couldnt resist.

This Sunday at 1pm Eastern, two of the highest scoring offenses in the league go head to head when the New England Patriots (2-0) travel to Ralph Wilson Stadium to take on the Buffalo Bills (2-0). currently have the Patriots as -7 1/2 point favorites against the Bills.

The New England Patriot offense has been stellar averaging 36.5 points per a game on the back of QB Tom Brady lighting up scoreboards. Brady has thrown 63 completions on 88 attempts for 940 yards, a sick 71.6 completions percentage, 7TD’s only 1 INT, and a mean QB rating of 128.0. RB BenJarvus Green-Ellis leads the backfield duo of him and Danny Woodhead with 24 attempts 104 yards, a 4.3 yards per attempt, and 2 TD’s. Danny Woodhead has 18 carries for 81 yards and a 4.5 yards per a carry. It seems any receiver on the team not named Chad Ochocinco has been raining hell upon defenses as four players have double digit receptions with over 150+ yards , two of them having 200+ yards, and 3 of them having 2TD’s or more. Safe to say QB Tom Brady has not been choosing favorites and he will be getting alot of Christmas cards from his receivers and TE’s this year.

The Patriots defense has not matched the high standards produced by its offense , however most of that is not due to the newly beefed up defensive line. The defensive woes have certainly come from the secondary , without an elite cornerback or safety the Patriots defense have been almost at the mercy of opposing passing attacks, and have relied upon its offense to simply outscore their opponents. The Pats defense have in the two games played grabbed 6 sacks harassing the opposing QB with hurrys and making hits while they are throwing. The secondary while recently stated not playing well have come up with 2 interceptions and another one coming from DT Vince Wilfork

The Buffalo Bills offense has not been this good in years they are off to their 2nd 2-0 start in 8 seasons and have mostly their offense to thank for that. QB Ryan Fitzpatrick has been excellent throwing 45 completions on 71 attempts for 472 yards, a 63.4 completion rate, an impressive 7 TD’s to 1 INT, and a 109.6 QB rating. The Bills backfield has been great led by NFL leading rusher Fred Jackson 35 carries for 229 yards, a 6.5 yards per carry, a longest of 43 yards, and 2 TD’s. The receiving core has been comprised of two guys you probably have never heard of unless you live in Buffalo WR’s David Nelson 14 receptions, 149 yards, 1 TD, and Steve Johnson 12 receptions, 162 yards, 2 TD’s. Steve Johnson is injured and did not participate in practice so Scott Chandler will probably step in he so far this year has 7 catches for 79 yards and 3 TD’s.

The Bills defense also like the Pats have not matched their offensive success. They can stuff the run if not better, then as good as any team in the league only allowing 239 rushing yards in the first two games. However they only have 3 sacks and almost no pass rush, but did manage 2 interceptions. The Bills defense has barely done enough to help them win, or to better put it have done just enough to not lose them the game when their offense has been lighting it up.

My Prediction: The New England Patriots hold the longest active streak of wins against an organization with 15 straight against the Buffalo Bills. The Bills have not beaten the Patriots since 2003 and I just dont see that changing this game. I take the Pats by -7 1/2 and absolutely love the over of 53 1/2 points as both these teams offenses have been clicking with out their defenses doing the same.

Expect alot of offense, probably fairly little defense, and a fun competitive game. Get your wagers in at today and remember ” It’s Only a Game Untill You Bet It.”
