NFL Betting Predictions: New Orleans Saints at St. Louis Rams
Sunday at 1pm Eastern, the New Orleans Saints (5-2) travel to the Edward Jones Dome to take on the St. Louis Rams (0-6). BetDSI Sportsbook current Live Lines show the Saints as a ridiculously high -950 favorites over the Rams, giving up 13 1/2 points via the spread.
The Saints offense decimated the Indianapolis Colts defense last week for an absurd 62 points, averaging a little over a point a minute. QB Drew Bree’s tore it up throwing 31 completions on 35 attempts, for a ridiculously 88% completion rate, 325 yards, 5 TD’s, no INT’s for a 144 QB rating. New Orleans had their way with the Colts as they were also able to run for 236 total yards. WR Marques Colston now has back to back games with 7 catches, this week he had 98 yards and 2 TD’s.
The Saints defense held the Colts to only 7 points, but much of that is due to the Indianapolis offense playing absolutely terrible. New Orleans defense however did allow a couple big plays, a rushing yard for 42 yards by RB Delone Carter, and an 24 yard carry by RB Donald Brown. Other than that this Colts offense played so bad they just had to make the tackles and go through the motions.
Another (0-6) team playing this week the St. Louis Rams have been awful all year, and that didn’t change last week against the Cowboys. Rams put up only 7 points with Journeyman QB AJ Feeley running the offense. Feeley threw 20 completions on 33 attempts for 196 yards and an interception. RB Sam Jackson ran the ball 18 times for 70 yards, and a touchdown. WR Brandon Lloyd who was acquired by the Broncos via trade has already made an impact, catching 6 balls for 74 yards last week.
Nothing good can be said about this Rams defense that gave up 34 points last week against the Cowboys. They gave up a ridiculous 24 first downs, 446 total yards, 294 rushing yards, and 166 yards via the passing game.
My Prediction: This one has the potential to get ugly, I would go Saints to cover, or insert the Saints into a Parlay you feel comfortable. This bad of a team playing this good of a team, I could definitely see the Saints winning by 2 or more touchdowns.
