NFL Betting Predictions: Oakland Raiders vs Atlanta Falcons

This weekend we get to see one of the most explosive offenses in the NFL as the Atlanta Falcons (5-0) look to remain undefeated when they host the Oakland Raiders (1-3). BetDSI Sportsbook current live lines display the Falcons as large -400 favorites giving up -9 points to the Raiders.

In their latest victory the Atlanta Falcons defeated the Washington Redskins 24-17 on the road. QB Matt Ryan played good throwing 34 completions on 54 attempts for 345 yards , two touchdowns, and an interception. Michael Turner helped out enough with 17 carries 67 yards and a 13 yard touchdown run.

Tony Gonzalez has not slowed one bit with age as the veteran tight end had a huge day with 13 catches 123 yards and a score. Second year receiver Julio Jones was also explosive with 10 receptions 94 yards and a TD, while Roddy White had 4 grabs 68 yards.

Last week the Oakland Raiders had a bye week with their last game in week four being a disgusitng 37-6 blowout loss on the road to the Denver Broncos. QB Carson Palmer just has not looked like the answer the Raiders thought he was when they gave up two first round picks to get him last season when Jason Campbell went down.

Palmer threw 19 completions for 34 yards and 202 yards against the Broncos, failing to get his team in the end zone. It is not helping that running back Darren McFadden can’t get much going this season, he had 13 carries for 34 yards. McFadden has never truly lived up to his draft selection or projection, and has yet to stay healthy for a full season in his career.

Well folks we’re going to have to eat the huge -400 line on the Atlanta Falcons if we are to make money on this one. The Oakland Raiders are no where near the same skill level as the Falcons and this game could certainly get ugly.
