NFL Betting Predictions: San Diego Chargers vs Chicago Bears
This weekend the San Diego Chargers will travel to Soldier Field to take on the Chicago Bears. BetDSI Sportsbook current Live Lines display the Bears as a -190 favorite giving up -3 1/2 points to the Chargers.
The Chicago Bears are really starting to shine, winning their last four games against very stiff competition. Last week they trounced the Lions 37-13, where QB Jay Cutler didn’t have to do much going 9/19 for only 123 yards. RB Matt Forte had 18 carrys for 64 yards and a TD, and only had 1 reception for 3 yards.
Defense and special teams is really what picked up the win in such a big away against Detroit last week. WR Devin Hester returned a punt for a touchdown setting his all time record at 12. Chicago also had 2 sacks, 4 interceptions with two of them going into the endzone for touchdowns. They only only allowed the Lions to convert 4 times on 17 3rd down conversion attempts.
Last week the San Diego Chargers were shocked in a defeat at home 24-17 to the Raiders. QB Phillip Rivers went 23/47 for 274 yards, 2 TD’s and an interception. Rivers was harassed all day long for 6 sacks, and still his lone interception came on a play his WR Vincent Jackson appeared to totally give up on. RB Ryan Matthews was injured after 6 carries for 34 yards, so Mike Tolbert took over running 7 times for 36 yards.
The Chargers defense was ate up for 489 yards, it was ugly on the ground 191 yards, and ugly in the air 298 yards. Safety Eric Weddle led the team with tackles with 8, and LB Antwan Barnes probably had the best day with 5 tackles, one sack, and a forced fumble.
Betting Prediction: The Chicago Bears are playing some great football winning their last three games, while the San Diego Chargers are in disarray losing their last four games in a row. The Bears have only lost one time at home this year and that was against the undefeated Packers. Look for the Chicago Bears to continue thier winning streak against the struggling San Diego Chargers at home.
