NFL Betting Predictions: Seattle Seahawks vs St. Louis Rams
Sunday afternoon the Seattle Seahawks travel to the Edward Jones Dome to take on the St. Louis Rams. BetDSI Sportsbook current Live Lines display the Rams as -150 favorites giving up -3 points to the Seahawks.
The St. Louis Rams got a hard fought 13-12 win last week after a bad snap and shanked 22 yard field goal by the Browns with only 2 minutes left to play. Rams QB Sam Bradford has really had a poor season, and last week was not stellar either going 15/25, 155 yards, 1 TD and 1 INT. RB Steven Jackson continues being the leader and playmaking presence on this offense, last week having 27 carries for 128 yards. WR Brandon Lloyd who the Rams grabbed of Denver played well having 4 receptions for 48 yards and a TD.
The Rams defense was stout allowing only 12 points on 335 total yards, 126 rushing, 209 passing. LB James Laurinaitis and DE Chris Long both got a sack on the day. They only allowed the Browns to convert 5 out of 14 times on third down and also made 2 tackles for losses.
The Seattle Seahawks are coming off of a large win of their own beating the Ravens 22-17 in a huge upset. QB Tavaris Jackson played mistake free football throwing 217 yards. RB Marshawn Lynch was a workhorse of a back with 32 carries for 109 yards and a TD. Lynch the workhorse also led his team with 5 receptions for 58 yards. Props to Seahawks kicker Steven Hauschka for hitting all 5 of his field goal attempts sealing his team the victory.
The Seattle defense held the Ravens to 323 total yards, only 75 rushing, and 248 passing. Considering their opponents QB Joe Flacco threw the ball 52 times only giving up 248 yards passing is quite the accomplishment. MLB David Hawthorne had a very busy day with 7 tackles, 2 passes defended, and an interception.
Betting Prediction: The Seattle Seahawks are coming off a more convincing victory than the St. Louis Rams who needed their opponents to botch a 22 yard field goal to win. I think the Seahawks do enough to win this one on the road against the Rams, and like Seattle at +3.
