NFL Betting Predictions: Tampa Bay Buccanneers vs Atlanta Falcons
Last week of the regular NFL season and we got the Tampa Bay Buccaneers traveling to take on the Atlanta Falcons. BetDSI Sportsbook current Live Lines display the Atlanta Falcons as large -13 point favorites over the struggling Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
The Atlanta Falcons caught a horrific 45-16 beatdown Monday night at the hands of the new Orleans saints which may have eliminated their playoff hopes. The offense was really moving they just could not score touchdowns as they were 0/3 in the redzone. QB Matt Ryan had a pretty good day going 34/52 for 373 yards and a touchdown. Ryan’s running game did not show up however with Michael Turner running 11 times for only 39 yards. Julio Jones had 8 receptions for 128 yards and a touchdown while Roddy White had 11 catches for 127 yards.
The defense for Atlanta was absolutely shredded for 463 yards, 164 rushing, and 299 yards passing. Cornerbacks Dunta Robinson and Dominique Franks both had interceptions on Drew Brees during his record breaking day which he broke Dan Marino’s single season yardage record. FS Thomas DeCoud led the team in tackles with 10.
Few teams are in a bigger free fall than the Tampa Bay Buccaneers who are 4-11 and been dropping games like it is their job. Last week they were destroyed 48-16 by the Carolina Panthers and I dont see how some coaches in Tampa Bay are going to keep their jobs at seasons end. QB Josh Freeman went 28/38 for 274 yards a touchdown and an interception. Some guy I never heard of who has been in the league three years named Kregg Lumpkin ran the ball 7 times for 24 yards, and sadly led the team in rushing.
Tampa Bays defense was torched for 433 yards, 270 rushing, and 163 passing giving Carolina’s QB Cam Newton a new rookie passing record. The Bucs allowed three different panthers RB’s to rush for 65 yards or more and two of them had a combined three rushing touchdowns. This defense is just lousy and has been beaten up all year long.
My Prediction: Look like one more epic beatdown for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers by the hands of the Atlanta Falcons before mercy will be shown for the struggling Bucs. They will hope to fire a bunch of personnel and rebuild within, and a good draft with some playmakers will help QB Josh Freeman’s confidence in the future as I believe Tampa still think he is their man.
