NFL Betting Predictions: Tennessee Titans vs Atlanta Falcons
Sunday afternoon the Tennessee Titans travel to the Georgia Dome to face the Atlanta Falcons. BetDSI Sportsbook current Live Lines display the Falcons as -280 favorites giving up -6 1/2 points to the Titans.
The Atlanta Falcons season has been about as big of a disappointment so far as last weeks 26-23 overtime loss where coach Mike Smith decided to go for it on 4th down on his own 29 in overtime and failed to convert. QB Matt Ryan played really good going 29/52 for 351 yards 2 TD’s and an INT. Ryan had engineered a comeback drive for his kicker Matt Bryant to hit a field goal to tie it for overtime. RB Michael Turner had 22 carries for 96 yards with a longest carry of 21 yards.
The Falcons defense allowed 363 yards offense against the Saints, only 41 yards rushing, but 322 total yards passing. No one on the Atlanta defense made any spectacular plays or forced any turn overs. FS Thomas DeCoud led the Falcons in tackles with 7 total on the day.
The Tennessee Titans are coming off a blowout 30-3 win against the Panthers. QB Matt Hasselbeck has done a great job with the Titans offense this year, last week he went 15/27 for 219 yards a TD and an INT. RB Chris Johnson finally had noteworty game, rushing 27 times for 130 yards and a TD. Chris Johnson did not stop there, he also had 4 receptions for 44 yards, with a longest of 29. WR Damian Williams had a heck of a day with 5 catches for 107 yards and 1 TD from a 43 yard reception.
The Titans almost completely shut out a Carolina team that has had little problems putting up points this season. Tennessee held the Panthers to only 279 yards, 113 rushing, and 166 passing. They created all sorts of problems for Carolina’s rookie QB Cam Newton sacking him 4 times, intercepting him once, and creating a forced fumble.
Betting Prediction: The Tennessee Titans are coming off a pretty stellar win, where as the Atlanta Falcons are coming off a heartbreaking loss. This match could be very close and I love the Titans at +6 1/2 here with Chris Johnson hopefully back on track.
