NFL Betting Predictions: Tennessee Titans vs Indianapolis Colts
The Tennessee Titans come into this matchup having won 2 of their last 3 games with the loss coming last week in strong 22-17 showing against the tough Saints. The Titans got to see Jake Locker in action as QB Matt Hasselbeck hurt himself against New Orleasn. Locker showed promise as he went 13/29 for 282 yards, a touchdown, and a TD on the ground running. Chris Johnson continues to struggle with 11 carries 23 yards.
The Titans defense held New Orleans to only 22 points which is no easy feat but broke down int he fourth quarter allowing two big touchdown passes. They allowed 437 total yards, 323 passing, and 114 rushing. It is never a good thing that your cornerback is leading your team in tackles on a game… it is even worse if two are leading in the game which is what Alterraun Verner and Cortland Finnegan both did last week with 10 and 9 tackles respectively.
Playing the Ravens last week did nothing in helping the Indianapolis Colts finally get a victory as they were beat 24-10. Quarterback Dan Orlovsky getting the nod in this game did little to help this offense as he went 17/37 for 136 yards a touchdown and an interception. The running game was even more pathetic as Donald Brown led the game with 9 rushes for only 28 yards.TE Jacob Tame had the Colts only touchdown of the game.
The Indianapolis Colts gave up 358 total yards last week against the Ravens, 212 passing, and 146 rushing. DE Dwight Freeney seems to be the only player on the team playing with any intensity as he had 2 sacks last week. DB Joe Lefeged grabbed an interception last week and besides him and Freeney nothing good can be said about this defense.
My Prediction: With the way the Indianapolis Colts have been playing it really does not matter who steps in for quarterback for the Tennessee Titans. Looks for the Titans to try and take one step closer to the playoffs with a easy road victory over the Colts.
