NFL Betting Predictions: Washington Redskins vs Philadelphia Eagles
Final week of football and we have some get action to bet on at BetDSI Sportsbook. Week 17 new years day we got the Washington Redskins traveling to the Philadelphia Eagles where both teams will be playing their last game of the season. BetDSI Sportsbook current Live Lines display the Philadelphia Eagles as large -9 point favorites over the Washington Redskins.
The Philadelphia Eagles are certainly trying to salvage some kind of image as they fight for .500 this year in thier last game against the Redskins. Last weeks 20-7 victory over the Cowboys made 8-8 a possiblity. QB Michael Vick threw 18 completions on 32 attempts for 293 yards and 2 touchdowns. LeSean McCoy certainly had an off day rushing 13 times for 35 yards and only 1 catch for 10 yards. WR’s DeSean Jackson and Jeremy Maclin both had five catches a piece for 90 and 72 yards respectively, Maclin also had a touchdown.
Last week the Eagles defense came to play allowing only 238 total yards, 81 rushing and 157 passing. CB Nnamdi Asomugha led the team with 10 tackles, with DE Trent Cole following with 5 tackles and a sack. Just about everyone on the line got to the QB as DE Juqua Parker and Derek Landri also had a sack a peice. Eagles fans wished their team played with such desire all year as they did against the Boys.
Last week the Washington Redskins dropped another game 33-26 to a disappointing team the Minnesota Vikings in yet another subpar season for the Skins. QB Rex Grossman had 26 completions on 41 attempts for 284 yards, 2 TDs, an interception, and a fumble for a loss. The rookie runningback Evan Royster got some playing time against the Viks and played great with 19 carries for 132 yards. WR’s Jabar Gaffney and Dante Stallworth both had receiving touchdowns.
Washington’s defense made Minnesota’s offense look great giving up 389 total yards, 241 rushing, and 148 passing. Linebacker London Fletcher is still playing with a motor paralleled by few as he led his team with an astonishing 17 total tackles and a half a sack. CB Josh Wilson had 6 tackles and a forced fumble, and SS Reed Doughty had 9 tackles and a FF.
My Prediction: I look for the Philadelphia Eagles to continue trying to make this season not appear as ugly with another win over the struggling Washington Redskins. However 9 points is a lot by any standards especially with these two teams that play each other so tough as their last matchup was week 6 in which Philly won only 20-13.
