NFL Betting Review: Washington Redskins vs Miami Dolphins
Sunday the Miami Dolphins (1-7) travel to FedEx Field to take on the Washington Redskins (3-5). BetDSI Sportsbook current Live Lines display the Dolphins as -220 favorites giving up -4 points on the road to the Redskins.
Things were not always as bad for the Washington Redskins this season. After week 4 they were 3-1, and looking like they could make a move in the struggling NFC East. Four games later and they are 3-5 switched QB’s, and having a hell of a hard time scoring points. They were shutout two weeks ago against Buffalo, and last week only put up 11 points against the 49ers. In the game against San Francisco QB John Beck played better than previous weeks throwing 30 completions on 47 passes for 254 yards, 1 TD and 1 INT.
The Redskins defense last week gave up 326 total yards, 188 passing and 137 rushing. Twelve year veteran MLB London Fletcher is still all over the field as he led his team with 10 total tackles last week. OLB’s Brian Orakpo and rookie Ryan Kerrigan both had sacks against the niners.
The Miami Dolphins finally got into the win column last week putting it on the Chiefs 31-3, in a win that probably saved Miami’s head coach Tony Sparano his job. QB Matt Moore seems to improve every game, last week he threw 17 completions on 23 attempts for 244 yards and 3 TD’s. RB Reggie Bush is starting to really integrate into this offense well. Against Kansas City he rushed 13 times for 92 yards a TD, and had 3 receptions for 50 yards.
The Dolphins defense was dominant last week grabbing 6 sacks, and creating 2 forced fumbles on the day. They only allowed a field goal 3 points all game on: 343 total yards, 116 rushing, 227 passing. Kevin Burnett MLB was making plays all over the field having 12 tackles and 1.5 sacks.
My Betting Prediction: As I stated above Miami Dolphins QB Matt Moore is improving each game out, and I think the Dolphins have more explosiveness on offense than the Washington Redskins. Look for the Miami Dolphins to have back to back wins, and the Washington Redskins to drop their fifth game in a row.
