FOXSports’ insider Jay Glazer first reported that Reggie Bush to the Miami Dolphins was a done deal early Thursday morning. It’s seems like is a nice place for him, he will be in the spotlight and the last time he played there he won the Super Bowl.
The Saints have agreed to trade the No. 2 pick of the 2006 draft to the Dolphins, Reggie is scheduled to make $11.8 million this year. Bush tweeted: “It’s been fun New Orleans.”
Bush is not the regular your running back ( 4 yards per carry), he doesn’t carry the ball hard but he gives the coach a new weapon in the offensive scheme if he’s creative enough. Reggie averaged nearly 59 receptions per season because he’s usually coming from the backfield but ends up as a receiver.
The Dolphins RBs Ronnie Brown and Ricky Williams are both free agents so I think Tony Sparano will have some work for Bush, after all Sean Peyton seems to be more creative than Sparano, so I expect Reggie to have more outside carries than he had in New Orleans…. Let’s just see if he can deliver as a true running back.
