Despite they are going into a bye week, the Denver Broncos didn’t hesitate much about naming Tim Tebow their new quarterback for the game to be played two weeks from now, at Miami against the Dolphins.
The Broncos will play the Dolphins Oct. 23 in Miami, and I’m really curious to know who will be the favorites in the NFL betting odds, now that Miami lost Chad Henne for the season.
Sports betting fans should know sitting out Kyle Orton is not a major surprise, considering the veteran quarterback has eight touchdowns and seven interceptions, with two los fumbles.
“I think a lot is made out of the quarterback position,” Broncos coach John Fox said Monday. “No doubt that did spark our team, but as you looked around, there were a lot of different guys making plays whether it was a screen pass for a touchdown, a great catch to give us a chance to throw it in the end zone at the end.“
Tebow showed some sparks against the San Diego Chargers last week despite his team lost; he ran for a touchdown and threw for another on Sunday. Tebow completed four of his 10 passes for 79 yards. He also ran six times for 38 yards, and somehow ended up with a better ESPN QBR than Aaron Rodgers in week five, which is an effing joke.
In the 12 career games, Tim Tebow has played; he completed 45 of 92 passes (48.9 percent) for 733 yards, six touchdowns and three interceptions; he also rushed for 264 yards and seven touchdowns.
Tebow is 1-2 straight up, losing against Chargers and against the Raiders, winning only against the Texans. He is also 2-1 against the spread, covering the spread on his last two games as a starter, against Chargers and the Texans.
