NHL Betting Predictions: Nashville Predators at Chicago Blackhawks
Halloween night the Nasville Predators ( 5-4-1) travel to the United Center to take on the Chicago Blackhawks ( 6-3-3). BetDSI Sportsbook current NHL Live Lines currently have the Blackhawks as a -180 favorite to win over the Predators.
This will be the first of six games which these franchise will play this year. Both Teams have been playing good hockey this season, with the predators coming off a 3-0 shutout Saturday against the Anaheim Ducks. The Chicago Blackhawks are coming off a win of their own a 5-2 thrashing against the Columbus Yellow Jackets, which was also on Saturday.
Chicago Blackhawks Viktor Stalber had two goals in the third period against the Columbus Yellow Jackets on Saturday. Backup goalie Ray Emery played well giving full-time starter Corey Crawford a night’s rest. Emery played well making 27 saves, and holding the Jackets to two goals.
The Chicago Blackhawks will have a grueling road trip which will have them playing ten of their next thirteen games away from home. Right Wing Michael Frolik has been getting it done lately with three points in his last four games.
The Nashville Predators had a difficult October losing four of five games in the middle of the month. However they seem to be getting in the groove of things as they just earned back to back victories, and scored eight goals in the two games combined. Goaltneder Pekka Rinne won the 100th game of his career last Saturday in the Predators shutout against the Ducks. Rinne has been playing exceptional as of late going 3-1-0 in his last four outings, with a 1.26 GAA percentage, and two shutouts in that period.
The Predators will have a nasty road schedule after this game with the Blackhawks, in which they will play the : San Jose Sharks, Los Angeles Kings, and Anaheim Ducks. All those teams were in the playoffs last year making for one very tough trip, if the Predators wish to stay within three points of the Blackhawks in the division standings, they will need to play good.
My Prediction : With the way both these teams have been playing lately this is a tough choice. Especially with the way Nashville Predators goalie Pekka Rinne has been playing, and the way this team has been coming together as of lately. My money is on the Predators over the Chicago Blackhawks.
