NHL Betting Predictions: San Jose Sharks at New York Rangers
This will be the only meeting between these two teams this season. Last year when these two teams played the New York Rangers won the lone meeting on the road 3-2. Lets see if the Sharks can do the same on the road in this one and get some pay-back.
The San Jose Sharks are tearing it up, ripping off five straight victories all on the road. The last of which was a 3-2 overtime win against the New York Islanders Saturday, and the Sharks really played well in getting the victory. San Jose center Joe Pavelski has been lighting it up this season, in his last 3 games he has a combined 6 points (4 goals, 2 assists).
The New York Rangers head coach John Tortorella decided to change his lines up a little bit for Saturday’s game against the Ottawa Senators. Moving linemates Right Wing Marian Gaborik, and center Brad Richards in different lines it jump sparked their offense and produced early results. Marian Gaborik had 1 goal and 2 assists, while Brad Richards had 2 goals and 1 assist, for some pretty good results. However the Rangers gave up a 4-1 lead to end up losing in a shootout to the Senators.
My Prediction: While the Sharks have been on an amazing run of 5 road games, they are now coming home, and maybe a little battle worn. The results (stats) of the line change made by the New York Rangers speak for themselves and after blowing such a big lead in their last game, I don’t see them allowing that to happen again so soon. I predict the Rangers snapping the Sharks 5 game winning streak in this one. Jump on the moneyline and ride it to the bank for an upset win.
