Host and Barstool “Big Game Hunter” Randy Mann takes us out to the Forrest and into the trees to get us a gambling man’s angle on the the Oregon Vs Standford Betting odds and match up.
One of the biggest games of the NCAA Football Season will be played mid-week in a powerful Thursday night match up pitting the #3 Oregon Ducks Vs the #5 Stanford Cardinal. At the mere mention of this match up one gets the feeling that this should be a pick up game of flag football played in birkenstocks and cargo shorts sponsored by PETA and Greenpeace. 10 years ago that might have been the case, but the current reality is that this game is all the opposite and the Pac 10 landscape has changed dramatically over the past decade.
Fast forward to 2013 and the Ducks are the toast of NCAA offensive production dismantling opposing defenses in their wake. The Ducks almost seem to score at will behind signal caller Marcus Mariota. Add in speed merchant and return specialist De’Anthony Thomas you have opposing schools technicians adding Basketball scoreboard placeholders to the football field. For this reason alone the Oregon squad is currently sporting a -10 1/2 point spread advantage over Stanford. Apart from a football game tonight, TV viewers might be seeing the next coming of Duck Dynasty.
Lining up against Oregon you will find The Stanford Cardinal. Stanford is also solid on offense albeit not at the same pace as Oregon. In this match up the Cardinal have the superior defense, but with injury to Co-Captain Ben Gardner, Stanford will need to find help from supporting cast members. The on-field match up that will likely determine the pace of this game will be between mammoth 6-foot-6, 261 pound Stanford Linebacker Trent Murphy vs Oregon QB Mariota on the read option. The Cardinal as a whole are sound on both sides of the ball, up and down a well coached and a “football intelligent” team. If indedd the Cardinal are to pull out a win here it will be on the strength of their defense, but their offense will need to pitch in and slow down the Ducks with sustained offensive possessions to have any chance of victory here.
This game is starting to build some history and the possibility of rivalry game could be in the stars here. The Cardinal sent the Ducks packing last season knocking them out of title contention in a dramatic overtime win. If this seasons game is anything like the last, we are in for a wild ride.
Now once again it is video time For Mr Mann to do what he does best and give us, the betting public a birds-eye view on some Beer, Babes, and all things in the Betting cross-hairs.

Let’s talk some Top 10 College Football!
In our last, we discussed The Blockbuster Thursday Night College Football Schedule including Oklahoma vs Baylor…
The second half of the blockbuster night is # 2 Oregon vs # 5 Stanford.
Last year, The Cards played spoiler to the Ducks and stole away their bid for a national championship with a 17-14 overtime victory.
The Cards aim to repeat in their spoiler role Thursday night… as they, too, look to sneak themselves in the national championship race.
Oregon is battling Florida State for the #2 spot in the BCS rankings. Damn these mathematics!
That said, This game is as crucial as they come for both teams and the winner will most likely play for the PAC 12 Conference title.
If the Cardinals have any shot, they’ll have to stop one of the nation’s top quarterbacks and Heisman candidate, Marcus Mariota.
He’s smart – He’s fast – He throws a damn near perfect ball completing 64% of his attempts—AND hasn’t thrown an INT since last season. That’s remarkable. 20 TD’s this year and zero INT’s. And the kid runs like a Gazelle
Oregon is second only to The Baylor Bears in points scored and total yards.
The Cardinals will try and slow the Ducks down as they did last year, but whether they can knock Mariota out of his comfort level or not remains to be seen… He’s had a year to improve, and improve he has….
The Cards are +10 pts at home.
Carrying a 7-1 record—4-4 ATS.
The Ducks are 8-0 overall and 7-1 ATS.
The total is 61.5—and has gone over 7 of the last 8 meetings.
